The ‘Clayton’ name is as classic as the cars you see on this page. Still going strong after 50 years we are able to supply OE Equipment as well as design bespoke systems to fit many makes of vehicle. Our workshop facilities, based at the same site as our head office in Coventry, mean that we are able to tailor-make both air-conditioning and heating equipment for most makes of Classic car, offering a highly personal and individual service at a competitive price. Clayton continue to manufacture a wide range of heater elements for most of the classic car market, and specifically for such vehicles as the Jaguar ‘E’ type and V12, Mk.2 and XK120/140/150, and Triumph TR 4/5/6. More recently we have applied our expertise in heater design and air-conditioning manufacturing to up-date and improve heater systems in classic cars. We now produce brand new heater assemblies for the TR 4, 5 & 6 range which incorporate the latest element constructed of copper and aluminium, plus a high power centrifugal 3 speed blower, normally within the original box design parameters. We can also provide a refurbishment and up-grade facility for other cars on a bespoke basis. Recent cars worked on include Bristol, MGA, Daimler SP250, Lotus, Jaguar MkIX and Mk10, and Austin Healy.
